Education 

Enhancing knowledge of providers at all levels is an important step in addressing gaps in pain practice.  This section provides resources to support education of providers/staff and resources to be shared with the older adults and their families. 

Education for Providers 
Resources in this section address barriers that impact quality pain care and include educational tools such as powerpoints, videos and games. 

Education for Patients and Families
The older adult and their family are key partners in developing and implementing a pain plan and resources included are geared toward helping them become informed about pain and its management.

Education for Staff​
Resources in this section have been developed specifically for licensed nurses who work in nursing homes or in other long term care settings. The resources include Fast Facts, Management Guides and Case Studies. Each of these short, evidence based resources can be downloaded and printed to use as teaching guides, discussion guides for meetings, or posted on a bulletin board for review.
